Entertainment for your wedding
A wedding is a fun and long day. To avoid guests getting bored during the day, you can hire entertainment. This way, you get some peace of mind and don’t have to worry that your guests might find it boring. Entertainment means something or someone that entertains your guests. There are many different types – here are a few ideas:
Karaoke as entertainment
Not everyone loves it, and it should fit your wedding theme, but karaoke can be a lot of fun! It’s guaranteed to bring laughter and surprises—maybe you’ll discover your aunt is an amazing singer. Also, it gives guests a chance to perform without needing to prepare anything in advance.
Singers
If karaoke isn’t your thing but you still want music, consider hiring a singer. Pick someone who performs in your favorite genre and let them sing a few songs that are meaningful to you as a couple.
Photobooth
A photobooth alongside your wedding photographer is always a hit. In this fun photo booth, your guests can take creative and silly pictures. The best part: they’re printed instantly and your guests can take them home. Add props like mustaches or glasses on sticks for extra fun.
Party photo app
The photographer might leave after the ceremony, but the party goes on. A party photo app is a perfect solution! Guests can access the app with a party code and take photos that show up live on a screen. The pictures are saved in the app, and the couple can later decide which ones to keep or share—keeping unwanted posts off social media.
Performances and speeches
You can ask guests to prepare a short performance – like a dance, a poem, or a speech. If you don’t want to put pressure on your guests, you can also hire someone to do this. A comedian might be a great idea – sure to make everyone laugh.
DJ or live band as entertainment
Music is an absolute must at a party. If you’re afraid the evening might be a bit slow, hire a DJ. They’ll get the dance floor going and make the night unforgettable.
You can also hire a band, usually a cover band that plays songs by other artists. Live music brings great energy to your celebration.
Dancers as entertainment
Not in the mood to dance yourselves? No worries – just hire some professional dancers. It’s fun to watch and adds great atmosphere to the party.
Bride and groom game
Want your guests to get to know you better? Try this fun game! The couple sits back-to-back, takes off one shoe each and swaps. Now they each hold one of their own shoes and one of their partner’s. Then questions are asked about the couple, and they answer by holding up the shoe of the person they think best fits the answer. The couple can’t see each other – but the guests can. Lots of laughs guaranteed!
